Coorbit Space Theory for Quasi-Banach Spaces
نویسنده
چکیده
We generalize the classical coorbit space theory developed by Feichtinger and Gröchenig to quasi-Banach spaces. As a main result we provide atomic decompositions for coorbit spaces defined with respect to quasi-Banach spaces. These atomic decompositions are used to prove fast convergence rates of best n-term approximation schemes. We apply the abstract theory to time-frequency analysis of modulation spaces M p,q m , 0 < p, q ≤ ∞. AMS subject classification: 42C15, 42C40, 46A16, 46E10, 46E30

Shearlet Coorbit Spaces and Associated Banach Frames
In this paper, we study the relationships of the newly developed continuous shearlet transform with the coorbit space theory. It turns out that all the conditions that are needed to apply the coorbit space theory can indeed be satisfied for the shearlet group. Consequently, we establish new families of smoothness spaces, the shearlet coorbit spaces. Moreover, our approach yields Banach frames f...
متن کاملExamples of Coorbit Spaces for Dual Pairs
In this paper we summarize and give examples of a generalization of the coorbit space theory initiated in the 1980’s by H.G. Feichtinger and K.H. Gröchenig. Coorbit theory has been a powerful tool in characterizing Banach spaces of distributions with the use of integrable representations of locally compact groups. Examples are a wavelet characterization of the Besov spaces and a characterizatio...
متن کاملCoorbit Space Theory for the Toeplitz Shearlet Transform
In this paper we are concerned with the continuous shearlet transform in arbitrary space dimensions where the shear operation is of Toeplitz type. In particular, we focus on the construction of associated shearlet coorbit spaces and on atomic decompositions and Banach frames for these spaces.
متن کاملGeneralized coorbit space theory and inhomogeneous function spaces of Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel type
Coorbit space theory is an abstract approach to function spaces and their atomic decompositions. The original theory developed by Feichtinger and Gröchenig in the late 1980ies heavily uses integrable representations of locally compact groups. Their theory covers, in particular, homogeneous Besov-Lizorkin-Triebel spaces, modulation spaces, Bergman spaces and the recent shearlet spaces. However, ...
متن کاملFrames and Coorbit Theory on Homogeneous Spaces with a Special Guidance on the Sphere
The topic of this article is a generalization of the theory of coorbit spaces and related frame constructions to Banach spaces of functions or distributions over domains and manifolds. As a special case one obtains modulation spaces and Gabor frames on spheres. Group theoretical considerations allow first to introduce generalized wavelet transforms. These are then used to define coorbit spaces ...
